You’re staying in a great spot. This lagoons are perfect for young kids because
the water is so calm. Go to Paradise Cove just north of you for snorkeling; there are often turtles! Make time to watch sunset at the lagoon. Also head over to the Aulani resort next door just for a fun environment (and you can get Dole Whips).

Must do Waimea valley and swim in the waterfall; call ahead of time to make sure waterfall is open for swimming that day. PCC is awesome but expensive. You can do a more intimate luau at Waimea Valley, it’s called the Toa Luaua. The people who run it are awesome and members of the church and even start the luau with a prayer.

And a tip for Oahu in general—many things are closed on a random weekday so do your research before heading out.
