First half of our trip we explored the island and just stayed in a cheap place in Kapolei. Second half we stayed at Aulani, my kids absolutely loved it. Typically we’d do pools/slides/lazy river/splash pad in the morning, then chill on the beach in the afternoon while sprinkling in character visits throughout the day. Aulani is the best Disney property I’ve stayed at, kids dream of going back.
