Pope absolutely exceeded expectations this year in Big 12 season play. I was very impressed. However, he again failed in post-season play. There's no question Kentucky saw potential there with his success in first-year Big 12 play and selected off of that. Prior to that, his teams finished fifth place two years in a row in WCC play. That's abysmal and completely inexcusable on every level. Kentucky won't tolerate two seasons like that.
