not my point. My point is that UofU is not a mormon school in any way, not even kind of. I attended the UofU because my family is completely a U family, mostly because my parents grew up not liking the church. I went there and I was blown away by the anti LDS sentiments among the faculty and students. I promptly transferred to BYU. I am now an MD/PhD student who didn't even consider the UofU. I sought professional advice from everybody I could about doing a PhD in science at the UofU because I wanted to stay close to home. They told me that the UofU would be a great place if I could stand the Anti-LDS sentiments of all the faculty and graduate students. I didn't even apply.
What I am saying is that your school does not represent anything LDS, while you have LDS students and faculty, a positive LDS vibe is not the most dominant vibe on campus. In fact if you can name me more than 10 return missionaries on your football team I will be surprised. Don't play this UofU is a righteous place card with me.
There are probably more anti-LDS sentiments on the UofU campus than any other in the nation. Due to the proximity of the University to the LDS church, but nonetheless it is still true.
