Not true. Jimbo only controlled the O, he was nowhere near a de facto HC.
Jimbo had no say nor input when it came to the D. Micky Andrews, Bowden's long time DC was still running the D those last two years. Jimbo was simply an OC, that controlled just the O, like pretty much every other OC.
Forcing a person to resign/retire, and firing them is pretty much the same thing. The difference is semantics.
Just admit that Florida St proves that firing a successful coach can work out for the best.
