I hope Hosick does come to BYU, but perhaps we have a bit more insight right now on why we spent another '15 scholarship on a QB last week (Beau Hoge). Personally, I like Hoge's film better than Hosick's, so if we're trading one for another I'm OK with that. I'd certainly rather have the depth.
Where losing Hosick would REALLY kill us is in spring practice. We would have McCoy Hill as our #1 guy, and basically nobody beneath him on the depth chart. We weren't even planning on playing McCoy at QB until he was forced there this year due to our extreme lack of depth. Help is on the way, but won't be here in time for spring if Hosick bolts. Hopefully Taysom will be able to participatein spring drills to some degree, but our ability to grow and develop this spring is going to be hampered quite a bit.
