If you decide now to redshirt him, you have to give #2 reps in practice to Hoge. With no redshirt, Tanner gets #2 reps,
and gets at least limited playing time. And, do we really want Tanner running the scout team? Put it all together, and it makes very good sense to not redshirt Tanner.

He will likely play a bunch in November when the games are out of reach. He may want to jump to NFL after next year
