are new to me since joining this board. I don't know if I grew up in a different Utah from the rest of you but many of the things for which Utah is criticized are completely foreign to me. Is Salt Lake City that much different from "Utah"?

I should clarify, it's mainly rural Utah. Pioneer stock types.
