He's not the same head coach that he was from 2005-2009, which was also non-coincidentally the period of his greatest success. It's not just the win-loss record. It just seems like since 2010, Bronco hasn't been the same coach. I can't quite put my finger on it. His demeanor, personality, and overall persona just seem a bit different. He doesn't seem to quite have the same drive and passion that he had in those first few seasons. Maybe he's realized that all he needs to do is just win 8 or 9 games a season and his job is safe. Maybe that realization has de-motivated him to a certain degree.
