training is system specific, whereas education builds a platform
To be able to synthesize and build upon.
For instance, my dental education built a foundation that allows me to be able to treat patients and predict outcomes in situations that I may have never seen before.
If I decide to do a certain procedure, I need the specific training for it.
I would say training is part of an education, but does not replace it.
