With three of the last four games being mtsu, unlv & Savannah State
Not to mention Cal (who doesnt appear to be a world beater), i think there will be plenty of opportunity to sub in 2nd and 3rd stringers at the end if the season. November should be a good time to play the starters a little less in preparation for the bowl game.
