And in case you didn't know, he's still in the NBA. He's been in the league for 9 years and averaged a double-double in 4, almost 5 of them. Close on the others. Almost did as a rookie. He's not a bust. He's still in the NBA and still putting decent numbers when he is healthy. He's no star but he's at least still in the NBA and doing well when his body will allow.
Brown, Bennett, arguably Bargnani... And Oden wasn't any better in the 2 seasons worth of games he DID play, so yes, he was "worse."
