That being said, don't take a hard class just because it's hard - take classes from the best teachers and look for the greatest opportunities for learning.
My experience in the Marriott School formed much of my opinion on this subject. I took macroeconomics from a professor who was much too smart to be teaching undergrads. He knew this, so he completely watered down his class and it was a breeze. Each test was 50 questions T/F. I learned next to nothing from that class. I don't remember his name, but he reminded me of the owl from Winnie the Pooh.
My micro experience was vastly different - challenging coursework, brilliant instructor and a fantastic teacher. I still use many of the things I learned in that class, not just facts and figures, but approaches to learning and diagnosing business problems.
