Recruiting isn't an exact science but unless you believe BYU evaluates players better than the major programs out there than competing with and beating them for the players they want is the best you can hope for.
Obviously, we will find some diamonds in the rough but as a general rule higher rated players do better than lower rated ones. It is Geoff's job to get the highest rated players that fit BYU's culture and needs. Whether the kids ever produce on the field is up to the coaches and the players themselves.
Geoff is doing an incredible job regardless of how much these players contribute.
