based in the annual cycle I see on CougarBoard and elsewhere where we see some positive developments, decide that we're world-beaters, and then realize that the positive developments were great but don't pave the road to a national championship with bricks made of blue-gold.
I think Martzen seems like he's finding great guys in places where we wouldn't have found them (or convinced them to come here) in the past. So that's a great accomplishment.
I'll start upping my contributions to the athletic department (and sending notes to increase Martzen's salary) when we see some dividends on the field (and yes, I know that's not his job, that's the coaches').
