I've been there once and taken large groups to Maui several times
It is worth the trip...once, but the luau isn't as good as some of the others I have seen. But then you have to remember that most of them are kids and not professional entertainers. The biggest thing that got me was that the grounds weren't taken care of like the other church-owned venues, but it has been years since I have been there and I understand that it is better now.

I know that the church considered closing it a few years ago, not because it wasn't a good attraction, but that it was losing money! The church hired a new Managing Director, a real, very experienced businessman to come in and change everything in order to save it. He has done a great job according to the people I know, even though they had to lay off a bunch of people, it was run it right or close it down.....which would be a total shame and kill the economy on that side of the island.
