... whether the QB can get the ball to the TE in the middle of the field, whether the TE is kept in the protection scheme as an extra OL. Usually a guy that is having breakout games like Friel was having in early 2012, does not disappear mysteriously from the scene. Friel had his troubles, but I think there were also several reasons out of his control for his lack of attention and numbers.

He remains a bit of an enigma, so we will see how it plays out.
