his first couple of years. But after he demonstrated poor...no...horrible decision making on when to try to win the game all by himself vs. working with the team...it became apparent to EVERYONE (except Matt Carlino) that he needed the brakes put on him. When he was on...he was great. But most of the time, he wasn't and it hurt BYU as a team. I'm not mad at him for leaving. He made a decision that he felt was best for him. However, I can't think of anyone out there that would give him the freedom Rose gave him and I think he'll find it very restraining to his style. All I can guess is that Matt wants to do what he wants and forget everyone else and if you happen to be on the floor and can save him from himself then you'll get an assist. Otherwise...sit back and watch Matt hoist up 1 on 3 contested fall away jumpers or make drives to the left side of the basket and force up something and hope for a foul or 35 foot jumpers with 25 seconds left on the shot clock when all you needed was a simple basket.
Good luck Matt!
