He was getting diminishing minutes. He went from starting to coming in off the bench. His minutes were decreasing and Winder's were increasing. Knowing that Winder is coming back next year, he thought he had a better chance of playing a more significant role at another school. It's not a big deal. Essentially Fischer did the same thing.
