You're right. I re-read my last paragraph and I'd like to clarify.

Matt is a wonderful basketball player. Legit D-1 talent to be sure. BYU was lucky to get him, as he righted what very well could have been a very shaky ship post-Jimmer. You won't find a bigger carlino fan than me.

But I do think his dad kind of screwed him up a little. I think his dad kind of got obsessed with getting Matty into the nba, and it stunted his development.
