They will probably have to go undefeated to get to the playoffs a good portion of the time, assuming other conference champions lose only 1 game. I think most conferences with a one loss champion will get the nod over a B12 team with one loss that won their championship game. It is really just for SOS, but winning that last game against a solid opponent will more often then not give you a good boost to your SOS unless your conference is pretty down that yr.
