While Utah thought that they would be in the top tier of the PAC because they would attract a bunch of big time recruits, they are finding out the painful truth. They have NOTHING to attract big time recruits. That said, BYU would not attract a bunch of 5 star recruits either, but the difference is that the majority of premier LDS players would play at BYU, as opposed to going elsewhere. And this will play out if BYU ever joins the Big12. As for Utah, they have put themselves into a position of having top LDS recruits being basically repulsed by the anti-Mormon biases up on the hill.
