There is not enough talent and depth to compete in that conference at either school. BYU and Utah are nearly identical programs.both recruit around 50-60th in the country( with the exception of Utahs initial pac recruiting bump), both programs haveabove average but not great head coaches. Utah is probably something like the 40-45th best program in the country, BYU the 45th-50. Elite non P5 programs, bottom half P5 programs, especially in the PAC, which is pretty clearly the second best conference in football right now.
