I'd probably choose something between South Jordan/Sandy and American Fork
The schools in Utah County rate a little bit higher (particularly Pleasant Grove, American Fork, and Lone Peak) if that means anything to you, but I do like the location of the southern end of the Salt Lake Valley personally.
