I think Drew is angry he's not hearing a consistent story
so he does what every respectable, ethical journalist would do in such a situation: muddying the water and writing an article with a bunch of contradictory information to paint the kid and his mother in a negative light.
Also, Vai appears to have done a very irresponsible thing as well.
