Most of the athletic departments and presidents there like us, it was only two schools (and only their presidents at that) that opposed our joining in the first place. Apparently changing the vote to only require a 75% vote for inclusion was a direct move by the commissioner expressing dissatisfaction with the fact that two schools prevented the conference from getting a potentially better option. People here like to say the whole conference is too liberal to ever include us and that they'll invite Wyoming before us, but it was only a couple of schools whose votes are now inconsequential should 9 of 12 schools vote to allow BYU to join the conference. There are no better options for the P12. Texas and OU to the PAC makes zero geographical sense, and the rest of the schools in the P12 footprint are all weaker in overall athletics than BYU. I think it'd be hard for the PAC NOT to include us should they be compelled to expand to 14.
