For 2 years now, Utah has designed their defense around him, and he still tore them up 2 years in a row. The only reason Utah even won last year is because Chuckie's helmet came off and instead of burning a timeout, USU threw in their backup for 1 play and took a loss on 3rd and goal at Utah's goal-line.
I know, I know, BYU beat them too. But despite all the heckling of USU fans who say "if Chuckie were in, it would have been a different game," it's really not a false statement. With Chuckie in, that is a very very different game. USU, in Logan, with Chuckie, is a good team. And BYU didn't have to play the same team that Utah lost to the year before.
BYU has been very fortunate the last 2 years to get USU on their very worst performance of the year. A lot of that has to do with Bronco's defense, but a some of it has to do with good home-field advantage timing and Chuckie conveniently being taken out of the game in the 1st quarter of a competitive game.
