The state? Everyone in it? The governor? Utah is the state school and their taken care of. I am sure there are those in state offices sympathetic to BYU, but I am hardly convinced they would try to flex political muscle on BYU's behalf. There wasn't a whisper of that when Utah was being looked at prior to their PAC invite.

The Church is going to stay out of it by intention.

Which big donors do you think would get involved? That response is the only one that makes sense to me.

Right now I live in NM. However, I was born and raised in Utah and have lived there for about 31 years of my life. I'll try not to be insulted by your one size fits all assessment.
