In fact, your sentence of chastising me for "not being aware of what goes on behind closed doors" is essentially an oxymoron, no? (Are you going to say you have concrete information of such dealings?) I've read the TCU story. I have seen no evidence whatsoever that there are political forces that would put pressure on the University of Utah on behalf of BYU in the same fashion. Texas politics and Utah politics have little to do with each other.

Your paragraph on the Church is lost on me. You actually think that the BYU President, in his role as a general authority, is going to pressure the University President at the U. on a hypothetical PAC vote? Seriously? Not a chance.

Your last paragraph, in my "naive" opinion, is simply untrue.
