RE: If Aytes can get his scoring groove going in our offense I can buy 25 wins
This is the way i am guessing it for next year:

1. To use your term, BYU has added by subtraction. Carlino leaving is a big plus; PG leadership improved;

2. KC gets unleashed and breaks out to the upside if he fully recovers, which we won't know until he is comfortable going all out day after day;

3. Corbin Kaufusi = Mika by March.

4. Aytes is a solid D-1 starting level PF. Jamal's shooting range looks to be improving.

5. Fischer joins Winder at SG to enhance team 3 pt shooting; Fischer may play some back-up PG;

6. Bartley joins Halford and Chatman to add depth at guard; Not so sure Bartley has the court vision to play PG.

7. Depth at bigs is much better. Remember, Mika only played 25 min. per game. Add Neilson and others to Austin at back-up C & PF.

8. Haws can't be worse and his back ups, likely Bartley and Toolson, should be better.

9. The entire team is now filled with men who have winning hearts. Coaches and players are more optimistic than any year since Jimmermainia.

Major uncertainty is KC's health. Team simply has no other good option at the PG, not to mention KC's high level overall game. The other weakness compared to the 2011 team is that depth is not as good as it was then, i.e that team could afford to lose Chis C. and Davies and still make the Sweet 16. The 2014-15 team would drop off a lot if it lost KC and Aytes, for example.

Subject to KC's return, better at every position adds up to a significantly improved team.

This is unprofessional opinion and could all be wrong.
