Redshirting marginal talents just because they aren't going to get many minutes creates a bigger scholarship cluster than BYU already has right now. If Rose thinks Nixon or Toolson are going to really develop into something special, then fine use a RS on them, but don't create a logjam and a scholly crunch with guys that won't be major contributors later on. I like the way they did it with Mike Loyd, he had incredible tools but needed to develop. He RS'd and came back as a huge piece (albeit he apparently wasn't a BYU type of kid).
