I spoke with someone in the know regarding BYU Hawaii doing away with the athletics program. They said it was 100% the BYU Hawaii President's decision, (I think he was trying to cut the budget), that the Brethren had nothing to do with it, they just supported him.

I don't think we have much to worry about at BYU, especially with President Worthen in charge. I've already spoken to him and he loves BYU sports!
