It appears that BYU Basketball team has more talent this year than they have had in over a decade. Expect 4-5 new guys to make major contributions this year. If Rose can get Haws to pass the ball a little more this year the team will certainly challenge for the WCC championship and a 6-9 seed in the tourney. This is the best front court since, Roberts, Kite and Trumbo.

Major new contributers:

Neilsen-Good shooter, Excellent offensive player; more of a 4 than a 5. Should start this year.
Kaufusi- Very physical good low post skills; good athlete; probably as much or more potential than Davies. Could start or get major minutes.
Aytes- Very strong; good post moves and can shoot out to 18 feet. Will see major minutes.
Fischer- Best 3 point shooter on team. period.

The players that will get minutes this year (most minutes first):

Guards: Haws, Collinsworth, Fischer, Winder, Bartley
Fowards/Center: Neilsen, Kaufusi, Ayates, Austin.

The early season could be difficult with many new faces but expect the cougar to peak during the second half of the WCC play.
