Just like the #2 SEC team that is expected to make the playoff each year
The #1 SEC team will win the SEC Championship game, the loser of the SEC championship game will be eliminated, meaning the #2 team in an SEC division will, by Jimbo's thoughts, have an easier path to a championship than the SEC champion.

Someone is always going to have an "advantage". Not to mention that 4 of the 6 bowls used for playoff games are in states with SEC teams (Dallas, New Orleans, Atlanta, and Miami). Essentially, it is likely the SEC will have a "home" game over half the time, in the playoffs
