Exchange is great if you have an empty tank that is expired.
If you just need a fill up, find a place that pumps propane. It should always be cheaper. Top Stop in Lehi, UHaul in Provo both pump propane, I'm sure there are many others.

Just got a barbecue. What is the best place to buy a propane tank?

Your local grocery store. By the ones you exchange.

Why wouldn't you just fill it at a gas station? Isn't it cheaper.
