When ESPN signs a contract to pay the SEC $100 million per year
for the rights to televise their games, does the contract include a clause that says "Payment in full is contingent upon someone like Tim Tebow or Johny Manziel being in your conference"? I view Johny Football and Tebow as icing on the cake. ESPN will shell out that type of dough regardless of the personalities of the players.
