Doman did say that Matt Reynolds started at OT as a freshman
And did pretty well because he was a "football guy," while basically saying he wasn't sure Lupuaho was in the same class. Said they didn't see Lapuaho as a dominant Left Tackle when he was recruited, but he could become one. His overall impression was any freshman is likely to struggle playing OL, inferred it wasn't a good sign byu had two slotted to start at the most important OL positions. He said this is partially because BYU's offense is simplified on the run game, zone read and power.

Again he questioned whether this offense could be an effective pass offense and whether the OL pass blocking schemes will be good enough, while saying most of it comes off the run action anyhow, implying the offense is not good in 3rd and long or more clear passing situations where the defense is expecting pass. Again brought up loading the box to stop BYU's offense on early downs.

He talked about byu not traditionally having enough speed guys to make this offense as effective as other power schools who run it, mentioned Oregon and Baylor.
