My beef is the condescending attitude that says they "earned" it more than BSU, Cincinnati, BYU, UConn, etc.
There isn't much difference between the bottom half of the P5 and the top 10% of the G5. Budget, facilities, fan base, success, etc are similar. Once you get past college football's "elite", the middle class is all roughly the same.
Yet we're led to believe that Utah or Rutgers are fundamentally different teams now than they were 4 years ago because they have a different conference logo painted on the field.
