BYU is going to need to make a internal political move for inclusion.
OK.....the question is what is BYU willing to risk? I have not seen any real changes from BYU even when they were in the MWC. Recruits are the same, record with former BCS teams are the same. Record with non BCS teams are the same(San Jose State). OK....Bronco does a decent job. However what if say the option came and Urban Meyer is now in Provo. What effect does that have with recruiting, national relevancy, and would it spark talk of inclusion to a P5 conference? Are they willing to risk getting a coach that prefers kids not going on a missions and turning a blind eye on the honor code? Are they willing to have a coach that does not do firesides when they travel? And they willing to have a coach that does not pay attention to players education and personal development for society? It will take a downgrade as a spiritual leader for an upgrade to a high profile coach. Is BYU going to take that risk for inclusion and sell out everything they believe and built? At this point by many of frustrated fans I would say yes.
