You're right, it's to connect and engage with the fans
BYU has done a great job with the BYU50 promotion but it was a major fail in Texas. For example , Delaware had 30 different families show up for the box. That is awsome.

Now compare that to Houston and Dallas. Between the two cities, only one person reached a box location. Not much fan connection and engagement if you asked me. If the goal was to place the box in the most inaccessible location with little fan interest or participation, then they chose well. Just sayin.

Luckily we get to see our team almost yearly around here. That's what really counts.
