My wife fell in love with a used 2012 Jeep Patriot. It had 30K, and we have since put 3K miles. In the short period of time, I have had a minor repair done. Also, the fuel transfer tube was defective and that was replaced. The dealership is offering us an extended warranty to cover the vehicle for an additional 3 years/36K miles. I would rather use the $1500 (plus tax), for other things. But, where I have had already had the vehicle worked on - I am hesitant to walk away from the warranty.

Any thoughts?
