My 14 year old brother has an iPhone 4s but it doesn't have Safari (the AT&T guys removed it somehow) and my mom has to approve all his AppStore purchases or downloads.

So she doesn't let him download other internet browsers or other potentially harmful apps.

I know I know, it's risky and kids are evil, but that's what she does. She says that he can't receive pictures but I kind of think she is saying that based on not having a data plan associated with his phone. So who knows. Just an idea.
