I would get rid of all conferences and have the teams schedule 8 close games
and 4 far teams and then at the end of the season the top 16 ranked teams are in playoffs.
there is no reason BYU shouldn't play Utah, Nebraska shouldn't play it neighboring states, and Florida play Miami and Florida st.
