I saw my granola neighbor use one of those on his yard for a few weeks.
He was trying to mow 1/2 acre with it. It took him 5 hrs and then he had to rake the whole dang lawn because it didn't mulch the trimmings. It just cut it and left it laying in top.
He had a gas mower after the third week.
From what I can tell, they would work fine for a small yard as long as you take afterwards.
