Think about it. If they don't come back to provo (although I'm willing to bet a boatload of money that they will eventually) they won't be able to schedule us because if they ever came to us we would basically say sure, if you want games, then let's continue the deal we had.

Now, I'm not saying they would necessarily care about scheduling BYU, but Notre Dame does care about being seen as going back on commitments. They don't really want BYU with a sour taste in their mouth. Now, maybe they'll wait out BYU (Holmoe will eventually leave) and the new blood will agree to a series (that couldn't really be in the next 10 years though).
