Not Upset With Holmoe, But Patience Should Yield to Firmness at This Point
As has been noted, he played the cards he had been dealt at the time. Under the circumstances, he played them reasonably well. I doubt there are many who really know and appreciate all of the complexities involved, etc.

As for now, Notre Dame needs to know we expect them to honor their commitment, and it's time to come to Provo, period. If they try to weasel further, extract the max financial penalty. If they're yewt-hurt over that or threaten to kill the next three games (which I doubt we get anyway), so be it. A deal is a deal, and you've enjoyed the better portion of it anyway. Pony up, Domers.

I don't know what specific time table we give them, etc. I'm sure Bro Holmoe can handle that without our counsel. We get a home game or a nice check for losing a home game; future relations need to be based on mutual respect, and we can't get that by rolling over. Not even for old Notre Dame.
