Not Always, And Not Really
UConn did drop 8 at times, but certainly not throughout the game. They were adept at shouting off the deep routes in particular and were in Leslie's hip pocket through much of the night. Not sure if that came through on t.v., but I doubt it.

We actually did better finding creases against the 8 man drop b/c the line handled their rush, and Taysom rolled easily away from what pressure they had. He did a nice job of finding and hitting the seams in the heavy zone coverage. However, when faced with more typical schemes, the wideouts were often covered, particularly on the outside. According, the "Go Deep" aspect didn't have much of a chance to materialize. On the upside, it wasn't needed.
