HA HA HA HA HA ........ UM 1returning MLB in their front 7
It was in fact considered their greatest weakness by ever analyst. The fact remains, the Longhorns looked as effective as BYU did vs Virginia last year? Texas has no choice but to do the same. As for Swoops, its like adding another big FB back to the offense. He is a 4.8 runner. If Texas sticks to the I formation left and right like Nebraska, can do a little play action, it can move the chains some and shorten the game. Conversely if BYU can force 3rd and 4 or longer it will be tough for Texas to make long drives and score. The Texas defense faced a completely raw and untested NTU offense and qb...we really havent seen anything there but a scrimmage. The DBs are seasoned, but for all the hype, were outplayed by scrubs and third teamers in Provo last year. The are good, but how good against passing programs remains to be seen. They sucked against Baylor, Oregon, Texas Tech and BYU last year. It will be interesting to see if all that talk of two 5'-10" tall 185 lb CBs getting "physical" with Mathews, Blackmon, Jordon, Apo and company means much the moment they get run over and a #12 shoe in the middle of their chest. I doubt Texas CBs can out-physical BYUs receiving corps regardless of all the chatter.
