First of all, BYUtv didn't do all of the away games in 2011-12. I don't know where you got that from. They did 4. The others were on ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU. 3 BYU conference away games were on BYUtv in 2012-13. The others were on ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU and ROOT Sports.

Secondly, BYU has played exactly ZERO games that were exclusively broadcast on TheW.tv. None. Not one. Why? Because the WCC negotiated a 3rd tier deal with TWC before the start of last season--which has a deal with ROOT Sports (formerly FSN) and a few other partners including the Lakers Channel for Southern California for select games. BYU had 5 games that were simulcast on ROOT and the W.tv last season.

If you live in an area that doesn't get ROOT, then you may have to resort to watching it on TheW.tv. So, the WCC has made the games available to EVERYONE. TheW.tv is not intended to be a primary broadcast outlet. We have ESPN, BYUtv, and ROOT. It is only meant to cover those that live outside the country or have a TV package that doesn't include Root. If you live in the U.S. and are watching a bunch of BYU games on TheW.tv, it's probably your own fault.

BYU has 6 conference road games this season that are not covered by ESPN. It's an easy bet that ROOT will pick all of those up again.
