and you get your college paid for and people revere you for it. When your window of opportunity ends, you have to rebuild your identity and try and get good at something else that gets you respect and money to support a family. It also has to be frustrating to see peers that were basically at the same level in college sit on the bench of a pro team and collect huge checks for 10 years until they retire while you have a 30 year career in something else ahead of you.
